Dinamika Performa Akademik Mahasiswa Gen Z : Antara Motivasi, Stres, dan Kepuasan Akademik
Keywords:
Generation Z, academic motivation, academic stress, academic satisfaction, academic performanceAbstract
Asbtract
The academic success of Generation Z students is influenced by various psychological factors, including motivation, academic stress, and academic satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the relationship between these three factors and their impact on students' academic performance. The research employs a quantitative approach using SEM-PLS and involves a sample of 135 students in Tasikmalaya.
The findings indicate that academic motivation has a positive effect on academic satisfaction, both directly and indirectly through academic stress as an intervening variable. However, academic motivation does not have a direct impact on academic performance but influences it indirectly through academic stress and satisfaction. Meanwhile, academic stress has a negative impact on both academic satisfaction and performance, suggesting that higher levels of stress lead to lower satisfaction and academic achievement among students.
Based on these results, strategies focused on enhancing academic motivation and managing stress are necessary to improve students' academic satisfaction and performance. Educational institutions and faculty members are encouraged to develop more adaptive policies to support the academic well-being of Generation Z students
